During the huge success of Richfield Ventures, which was bought out by New Gold for $550 million in early 2011, we built up a large database of investors which provided the foundation for our future growth.

RJK Explorations and Parlane Resource (2010-2012, official IR, strong runs in stock prices + we negotiated sale of company properties for combined $3.5 million cash to New Gold in 2017);

Cannabix Technologies - pennies to $3.68 a share (2014-2018, official IR);

Canada Silver Cobalt - 17 cents to 90 cents (official IR);

Sona Nanotech - 50 cents to $16 (2020, arms-length, not official IR);

Sassy Resources - 5 cents (private) to $1.24 with new discovery in Eskay Camp (official IR).

Our success is driven by a very simple, old-fashioned approach - talking to people, in person and on the phones, and building a powerful network of investors, while being active in our respective communities (Doug is from Vanderhoof, Gary is from Prince George, and Dave and Terry reside in Vancouver). Over the years we have developed strong relationships with high net worth investors in northern/central British Columbia and Alberta in particular, while early this year we also opened an office in Bucerias, Mexico (north of Puerto Vallarta) where Gary has had great success in finding new investors. Terry has an extensive background in Ontario and now Vancouver. 

Dave played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League and is currently a Canuck ambassador and VP of the Canuck Alumni Board.

At the end of February, 2020, D McKay & Associates was heavily involved in the Vancouver Canucks’ 50th Annual Alumni Event in Smithers, further solidifying our relationships with investors, media, and the hockey community.
